I have always been a fan of happiness, almost like a birdwatcher, waiting, pursuing, pressing forth in order to situate oneself in the midst of the best birds. And I have come to think… if birdwatching is really done well via pursuit. Just like many others have contemplated the pursuit of happiness.
Taking the algebra further, I ask, from where do birds come from? A confusing question right? Just like asking where happiness comes from?
In practicality, to understand a phenomenon, seeking the root of it has shown more results than seeking its reach. Understanding why it reaches where it does is a better question and on par with figuring out the whole concept of what happiness really is.
If I knew, I wouldn’t be asking.
Happiness looks, sounds and feels like it is an uplifting energy. It even goes so far as to influence biological production of chemicals that if science isn’t a total fool, seem to have several positive effects on lengthening lifespans.
Certainly seems like happiness influences health moreso than health influences happiness, at least that’s pretty obvious by examining a lot of studies on what effects happiness has on health and longevity.
I can’t also but recall a many often of times where people express how they weren’t happy as chasers of externalities.
I am writing this as a stark reminder to myself that happiness is very likely, not an effect, but a causality.
And as such, I must remember to regularly remind myself that I, must be the fountain of happiness.
I don’t know what happiness is really, its too complicated to understand, but I do think that I can create it!
We are all eternal fountains of happiness, we just seem preoccupied with forgetting it. Maybe I can try to be a good role model and radiate happiness in all directions. Im curious to know if I’ll run out of juice or if the power just grows stronger.
Only time will tell!
